Everyone was waiting for Lionel Messi to lift the World Cup in his last journey in the tournament’s history. So it was now or never for Leo. I decided to design his calm face, ready for the final. This artwork was published hours before the final match.
Messi will be El Diego?
After beating the Netherlands in the quarter-finals dramatically, everybody was hoping for Leo Messi to lift the World Cup, repeating Diego Maradona’s moment for Argentina. I decided to edit this historical picture of El Diego winning the 1986 World Cup, and I replaced him with Messi.

Lionel Messi’s World Cup photo beats egg to be the most-liked picture on Instagram ever. This headline got me the idea to put Messi in a cook’s outfit trying to break an egg.
Harry Kane's Nightmare
Harry Kane missed a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game between England and France in the World Cup quarter-finals when it was 2-1 for France. Kane’s nightmare was complete when the final whistle was blown, and France went to the semi-final.
