Where Did the Idea Come From?
Football is the greatest drama on earth, and when football and cinema meet, I am delighted to create and enjoy. I love the cinema, and I love football. I got the idea to tell the story behind a game by the movies I saw. Who is Harry potter or Tom Cruise in the football world?

I tried to find equal characters in the movies to tell the story of a match before. These stories were inspired by the players, coaches, and opponents histories. I’ve written a description for each poster I created.
Real Madrid vs Chelsea
Chelsea and Real Madrid faced each other while the English side had won the Champions League the season before. The mission for London Blues was to save the trophy. The main idea of “Saving Private Ryan” is saving. I replaced Tom Hanks and Matt Damon with Thomas Tuchel (head coach) and Thiago Silva (defender). I changed the tagline “The Mission is a man” to “The Mission is a trophy”.
ManCity vs Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola’s clash has always been dramatic in the Premier League in recent years. The match between Liverpool and Manchester City, with the probability of securing the top of the table with a win, gave me an idea. Lord of the Rings became “Lord of the Table”, and the show commenced.
Real Madrid vs PSG
Real Madrid and PSG faced in the last 16 of the Champions League while the speculations around Kylian Mbappe joining Real Madrid had hit the news. Mbappe had been a Madrid fan from childhood, and the encounter between him and the Spanish side would be so dramatic. The primary role of Madrid belonged to Karim Benzema (striker). Two French stars with the same origins. Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort came to my mind. Such a classic clash!
Harry and Voldemort, with the same roots and the famous scar on Harry’s face, could be Karim and Kylian.
I replaced the tagline “”It All Ends Here”” with “”It All Ends at Santiago Bernabeu””. The second leg was in Madrid, and the capital of Spain would decide which team could go through to the last 8.
Real Madrid vs ManCity
Heat (1995) is one of my favorite movies. The film follows the conflict between a detective, played by Al Pacino, and a career thief, played by Robert De Niro. The main concept follows this: they admit their respect for one another, both acknowledge that they will kill the other if necessary, just like Real Madrid and Pep Guardiola. The former Barcelona man was in the hot seat of Manchester City, and they faced each other in the Champions League semi-final. I replaced Pacino and De Niro with Benzema and Guardiola.
Jose Mourinho
Jose Mourinho is one of the most successful coaches in the history of football. He was unlucky to lift a trophy in recent years, but he won the Europa Conference League at the end of the 2021/22 season with AS Roma. He has returned to the top level once again after some disappointing moments.
I thought Alejandro Iñárritu’s Revenant is the most suitable case to tell the Portuguese man story. Leonardo DiCaprio raised again after a heavy clash with a bear in the middle of the forest and tried to have revenge. Mourinho, on the other hand, raised again.
I replaced the tagline “Blood Lost, Life Found” with “Blood Lost, Trophy Found”.
CR7 Leaving ManUtd
Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United have a history together, but his return to Old Trafford was different from what everyone expected. The news hit the media worldwide that the star man wants to leave the club in the summer.
“A Separation” was the movie I thought would have the same concept. The story of the separation of a man and his wife, with love between them but with the obligation to leave each other. Just like Cristiano and Man Utd.
ManUtd vs Liverpool
Nobody can deny the hate between Liverpool and Manchester United fans. I saw the poster of a movie; frankly I had not watched but I thought it could be my case. I chose Ronaldo and Henderson to be displayed in the middle, and I wrote famous quotes about the hate between the two clubs told by former players and coaches.
